Yesterday was certainly an example of how God's plans are not always in line with our own. Instead of staying at the church all day and doing some work for them, we ended up going over to the pastor's home and blessing them. We did a clean sweep of their entire house while the pastor and his wife were still back at the church. We dusted, mopped, pulled weeds, cleaned the kid's rooms, etc. It was awesome to see how much she appreciated it. You could see the stress just come out of her when she walked in. Then we took the three kids to the park and went on a prayer walk from there. It was weird to see just how different all the homes are here. They seem like they are lifeless, yet there are families living in them. After we all met back up, we got our bags and relocated to the Dusty Pines Camp. It was fun to reunite with the other team and pray, debrief, and sing with them. But overall, yesterday is just proof that only God knows what we have in store for us. He knows what is best, and we had to trust all day that we were going to do what He meant for us to do, although it was NOTHING like we planned.
A small group of us are now heading to Farmington to pray for some BIC missionaries and the people they are impacting.
PEACE YO.
