Be... ?

Well, this group has been through it all... From late airplanes to changed plans daily. I suppose we all have been having the same thought... "Its just more evidence that we need to be here." 

On that note, these past few days have involved such wonderful service projects and just in case my own lovely mother is reading this.. YES, I have been cleaning. A lot! Be proud please. I'm not sure I can ever repeat this mad cleaning zone I get in when I see a project that needs done. From labeling to mopping to cleaning a little girls room.. It's certainly a God thing... It's not me! 

Yesterday's devotions have still been clear in my mind and I am praying will remain extremely valuable to me when this week is over. The title was, "Be available" 

Just think about it...

Its Not: 

Ask god what to do

Ask why things happen

Make it easy and then ill serve

I will clear out my life and only so the "Church stuff"

No... BE AVALIBLE! 

In all that you do work for The Lord. When you wake up in the morning, ask The Lord to use you and be available for him. If you say that you are available, that means that it's no longer your agenda. Often your schedule will change as you ask to be made available. 

As for my life, my life doesn't seem very "clear" or "available". i am always doing something! But it doesn't mean that is bad. It just means that in ALL you do, do it for The Lord. If you follow him, your interests may change, so may your calling, but it means you are doing Gods work. That is being available 

My family is often an example in my head of being available. Our schedules haven't been completely cleared but we have made ourselves available through adoption in our every day lives. 

This trip is a perfect example of being Available...

We came here asking God to change our lives and let us serve him in the way he wished. Little did we know that he wants us to be Available in different ways. So he made us Available. Very much so. We are serving him day to day in however he needs. 

That is pretty cool! 

So we have been getting a lot done! 

And it's not even Hummmp Daaaaay yet!

I encourage everyone reading this fabulous blog to just keep in mind what I'm trying to take with me... Be Available. Shine your light. Serve.
